Sophomore Meredith Robbins said she saw people posting on social media that they were traveling outside of Tompkins County. Robbins said she also saw students traveling to other states in late March, though the college didn`t have a spring break during the semester. By becoming or continuing to become a member of the Ithaca College community – whether a student-in-residence, an off-campus student, a staff member, a visitor or another member of the participating community – you agree to comply with the College`s guidelines, guidelines and expectations regarding the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The policies and guidelines referred to in this document, which are provided on the Health, Safety and Prevention website, are fully incorporated into the College`s Student Code of Conduct, Employment Obligations and other applicable rules. We will take reasonable steps to keep you informed in a timely manner of specific health and safety policies that are important to all members of our community as such guidelines become available. Between September 1 and November 21, 2020, when the college was open to distance learning, 40 reports were created using the Community Agreements Declaration Form. At the beginning of the semester, students were not allowed to enter other people`s dormitories or dormitories other than their own. The college began allowing students to go to other dormitories on their floors on March 1. Since March 15, students have had access to rooms on other floors of their buildings. Since then, there has been no relaxation of COVID-19 guidelines for dormitories. As Ithaca College continues to strive to prioritize the health and well-being of students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the wider Ithaca community, it has launched an online form through which dangerous behaviors can be reported.
