Following the introduction of the Saskatchewan Employment Act, which came into force on April 29, 2014, and amendments to the essential services provisions of the Saskatchewan Employment Act that came into force on January 1, 2016, CUPE locals can consult the following updated helpful resources: Members are employed in hospitals, health centres, long-term care facilities and home care. They fulfill a variety of roles, including nutrition, laundry and housekeepers, licensed practical nurses, radiology and laboratory technicians, housekeeping staff, cleaners, office workers and practical nurses.
